Welcome the community to the revitalized downtown and its businesses. Raise awareness about the museum, historic preservation, and the history of New London
Concept
Focus on nine buildings along N. Water St. and N. Pearl St., each of these
buildings would be included in a walking tour booklet that will be available
during and after the tour. On the tour date, volunteers will be stationed in
front of each of the buildings talking to the public about the history,
architecture, preservation, etc. of the building and inviting people to go
inside (when appropriate).
Volunteers
The walking tour is from 10am-3pm on Saturday, October 12, 2024. We need volunteers to make
the day a success. We are looking for people to share the history of New
London, help us set up and clean up, and make the day run smoothly. Volunteers
will be given all the information they need and an exclusive souvenir t-shirt. Two
shifts are available morning or afternoon. Shifts are for three hours. Help
us celebrate the history and revitalization of the downtown!
