Empowered Tutoring, a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization, is seeking part-time independent contractor literacy tutors in the Appleton, Wisconsin area. Empowered Tutoring provides one-on-one tutoring assistance to students K-12 who come from financially disadvantaged families. This opportunity is specific to K-8 core class instruction including reading, writing, math, science and history at multiple elementary and middle schools in the Appleton area. Qualified candidates will be current or retired teachers or paraprofessionals, or Education students, who are willing and able to create relationships, passionate about helping students achieve and instruct. Our tutoring takes place at school campuses or at public libraries. All necessary materials and learning aids will be provided. We are seeking candidates willing to work 3 to 6 hours per week.
