We are in need of foster homes to help prepare the cats in our rescue for adoption. We will set you up with the supplies and everything you need to care for the cats, cover all any needed vet appointments or costs...all you need is a quiet, separate space, and some love to share!
Chicagoland Animal Rescue, NFP is a small, all-volunteer cat rescue organization based out of the Downers Grove PetSmart at Butterfield & Finley Rd.
Chicagoland Animal Rescue NFP is looking for people to sign up to be a foster home, so when a cat in need is taken into our group, they have a place to decompress and be evaluated before going to our space at PetSmart or being ready for forever homes! Ideally, you should have some experience with cats, including medication, nail trims, and socializing, but we are willing to consider people who have not had a cat before as well. Foster parents must be 21 years or older only, and all members of the household must be on board with fostering and understand the expectations for doing so. Once you contact us, please keep an eye out for a follow up email from fundraising@chicagolandanimalrescue.org (and check your spam folder, too!) within about 24 hours.
Our ONLY physical location is at the Downers Grove PetSmart, 1550 Butterfield Rd, Downers Grove IL. However, our foster homes should be within a 30-minute distance of the Lombard area (as this is where our veterinarian is located).
