It started as a labor of love after hosting the Wolfinger Charity Golf Outing in memory of Lawrence (Larry) Wolfinger who passed away at the age of 54 from a heart attack. The committee of the first golf outing decided to give the proceeds from that event to a family whose daughter was a diabetic and needed a glass eye which the family could not afford. After the first golf outing, the committee decided to continue giving the proceeds of the event to more individuals and their families that were struggling financially because of medical crisis. After 12 years of planning the golf outing, Heidi Frederickson (daughter of Larry Wolfinger) and Karla Wolfinger (wife of Larry Wolfinger) saw the increasing need in the community and were led by the grace of God to help out more families struggling with a medical crisis. This was the beginning of Community Benefit Tree, Inc.

Time Commitment

Board meetings are held once a month for usually 1 - 2 hours, typically in the evenings. In addition, each
board member is expected to serve on a committee that would generally meet monthly for an hour. Board
members need to attend 4 - 6 special events throughout the year.

Term

The term for CBT board members is two (2) years.

After 12 years of planning the golf outing, Heidi Frederickson (daughter of Larry Wolfinger) and Karla Wolfinger (wife of Larry Wolfinger) saw the increasing need in the community and were led by the grace of God to help out more families struggling with a medical crisis. This was the beginning of Community Benefit Tree, Inc.

Chicagoland Animal Rescue, NFP is a small, all-volunteer cat rescue organization based out of the Downers Grove PetSmart at Butterfield & Finley Rd.

**We are looking to add people for several different shifts, including a regular Friday morning shift and several weekend rotations.**

Even if we can't use you right now, we'd love to have you come meet us and learn about volunteering! Options for volunteering can open unexpectedly, so please reach out if you are interested in volunteering.

C.A.R. is looking for volunteers (21 years old or older, please) to be placed on a set schedule to help during the day, in the evenings, on weekends. Schedules are flexible, but are typically on a set rotating schedule. Duties will include scooping litter boxes, cleaning the adoption area, monitoring & noting cat behavior, socializing the cats in our care, and medicating cats when necessary. Even if you can only volunteer a few hours every couple weeks or once a month, we would love to have you! C.A.R. is looking for volunteers (21 years old or older, please) to be placed on a set schedule to help during the day, in the evenings, on weekends. Schedules are flexible, but are typically on a set rotating schedule. Duties will include scooping litter boxes, cleaning the adoption area, monitoring & noting cat behavior, socializing the cats in our care, and medicating cats when necessary. Even if you can only volunteer a few hours every couple weeks or once a month, we would love to have you! Phase 3 Follow the road north of the Von Haden Boat Landing, along Hwy. 60, into Wauzeka. The WRTO Board creates fundraisers for events, targets all our local citizens, as well as the many visitors, to come enjoy our region and STAY a bit longer.  There are 4000 canoeists that visit Boscobel yearly, and we would like to create more activities for them to do.  

We have worked with the city of Boscobel closely, along with the Dept. of Transportation, Dept. of Natural Resources, Dept. of Tourism, Chamber of Commerce, UW-Platteville engineering students, and many businesses within the region to form an alliance, ask for donations, and create family-fun fundraisers to entertain the community as we raise money.

Fox Valley Literacy shares the power of learning to transform lives and enrich the community.

Fox Valley Literacy was founded in Appleton, Wisconsin in September 1990, during International Literacy Month. The Outagamie Waupaca Library System, which supports public libraries in the area, along with the Appleton Public Library led the formation of the organization in order to bring together existing programs as the Fox Valley Literacy Coalition.

In the 30 years since our founding, we’ve undergone two name changes and moved offices several times. But our dedication to providing quality and accessible adult education hasn’t changed. Since 1990, we have served students at no cost, all with the help of our dedicated tutors. We continue to work hard every day to serve our community and to share the power of learning.

Sworn in by judges to be their "eyes & ears", CASAs get to know the child(ren) involved in their cases and provide important information to the Court to ensure kids don't fall through the cracks. YOU can change a child's story as a CASA.

We are looking for volunteers to welcome new learners to WALC by helping them get started in their learning journey. You will assist with the intake process, making sure that learners feel supported and understood.

Tuesdays all day: 9am-2pm

Welcome new learners and guide them through the intake processHelp fill out forms & collect background informationAnswer basic questions and direct staff if needed

Seeking friendly faces to assist with meal delivery to homebound seniors. 

Duties include:

Load food carriers and other food products into vehicle

Transport and deliver meals to homebound participants and return carriers to designated location

Maintain and operate vehicles in compliance with all traffic and safety laws

Record first and last delivery times and collect other required documentation of daily route

Attend trainings required to fulfill these essential duties

Maintain a safe driving record by driving lawfully and prudently with your personal safety in mind
