Volunteer: Event Planning Committee VolunteerAre you creative, organized, or passionate about community engagement? We’re looking for volunteers to help us plan Utopia, Reach Counseling’s signature fundraising event. As a member of our Event Planning Committee, you’ll play a meaningful role in shaping an event that supports healing and transformation for survivors of sexual violence in our community. You can choose to join the main committee, a sub-committee, or both! Here’s how you can get involved: Main Committee Meets virtually once a month on the first Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. Provides overall direction and support for the eventSub-Committees (meet as needed): Sponsorship & Fundraising: Recruit event sponsors and secure auction or raffle item donations. Marketing & Promotions: Help develop our marketing plan, design invitations, create social media content, and support event signage. Event Production: Collaborate on decisions around flowers, linens, decor, food and beverage, and entertainment. Event Programming: Assist with curating event speakers, scripting, and run-of-show planning. Bonus opportunity: Volunteers can also assist during event setup, the event itself, and takedown (optional, but always appreciated!).Whether you're a planning pro or just want to lend a hand, we welcome your ideas and energy. We are particularly interested in leaders who are: Skilled in event planning and fundraising to support our annual gala, Utopia Knowledgeable in financial oversight or legal compliance Experienced in human resources and nonprofit leadershipWhy Join Reach’s Board? Reach Counseling is a trusted sexual assault service provider serving Winnebago, Outagamie, and Calumet counties. We are a trauma-informed, culturally responsive agency offering counseling, victim advocacy, prevention education, and offender treatment. As a board member, you’ll be part of a team that ensures this critical work is sustainable and impactful. Board Details: Term Length: 3-year terms (eligible to serve up to 2 terms). Meetings: Monthly board meetings held the last Monday of each month from 5:00–6:30 PM (hybrid format). Committees: All board members serve on at least one sub-committee: Finance, Governance, or Event Planning. Time Commitment: ~2–3 hours/month total (includes board and committee meetings). Annual Giving: We ask for a personally meaningful donation each year and strive for 100% board giving. Special Events: Attendance at our annual fundraising event, Utopia (October 11, 2025), is highly encouraged.Who We’re Looking For: We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and identities.
