Mission: To prepare all students to realize their potential in a rapidly changing, diverse, global society.
Pisgah Elementary School is a public elementary school serving students in kindergarten through fourth grade in the Enka district of Buncombe County Schools. Pisgah Elementary School strives to challenge students through a meaningful, complex curriculum with problem-solving experiences and help them become responsible citizens who can adapt to a global community in a changing world. Pisgah Elementary envisions students becoming successful, responsible citizens in an ever-changing, global society.
What We Do
Pisgah Elementary School works to provide safe and engaging learning environments that prepare students for the future by offering the following programs and opportunities:
- Academics: Curriculum programming for kindergarten through fourth grades, including reading, writing, mathematics, social studies, science, arts/music, and health/physical education.
- Instructional Support: Services to individual students and supports for teachers, including the academically or intellectually gifted program, exceptional children’s program, guidance, library services, ESL program, music, PE, and Title 1.
- Library Media Center: Library services that focus on preparing students for life-long learning, informed decision-making, a love of reading, and the use of information technologies.
- Clubs: Opportunities for students to collaborate and learn outside the classroom, including experiences such as Pisgah Dirt Works, which provides opportunities for students to do landscaping, gardening, and recycling to beautify the campus.
