Mission: To build a more just and equitable world.

RESULTS is a movement of passionate, committed everyday people. We believe poverty is not inevitable, and that our voices have power. We envision a world beyond poverty and the oppression that causes it. Together, we push for policies that dismantle poverty and inequity in the U.S. and globally. We know that poverty cannot end while oppression exists. RESULTS values are rooted in anti-oppression.

Headquartered in Washington DC, RESULTS is a non-partisan advocacy group. We believe every lawmaker can be an ally in the fight against poverty. Our organization includes two nonprofits. There is the 501(c)(3) RESULTS Educational Fund and RESULTS, the 501(c)(4) grassroots lobbying arm.

Today, our network of volunteers and staff spans all 50 states. With expertise in policy and organizing, RESULTS staff support volunteers to become powerful advocates.

RESULTS volunteers build relationships with policy makers, effectively advising them on problems and solutions of poverty. Practically that means: meeting face to face with members of Congress and their staff, regularly communicating with congressional offices, publishing media in the local newspaper, and engaging the broader community in education and action. Volunteers receive in-depth training, support, and inspiration from RESULTS staff and leaders to become skilled advocates. In time, volunteers learn to effectively advise policy makers, guiding them towards decisions that improve access to education, health, and economic opportunity.
