Who We Are

Mission: To foster a welcoming environment that promotes academic, physical, social, and emotional growth through a safe, engaging, and supportive culture.

A.C. Reynolds Middle School (ACRMS) is located on a beautiful campus overlooking the mountains in East Asheville. We serve a diverse community of approximately 530 students, grades 6 through 8. Our dedicated staff is committed to serving the whole child, including academic, career, social and emotional learning.  ACRMS is committed to providing a safe and clean environment that fosters academic achievement, physical, social and emotional growth, and individual development of adolescents who will become contributing members of society.

As a community school supported by United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County, A.C. Reynolds Middle School partners with community organizations to provide students and families with resources, opportunities and supports for success. Community schools create strong ties among families, students, schools, and the community, while serving as academic and social centers to support innovative learning.
