Youth Villages provides in-home therapy programs that are an effective alternative treatment for children and youth who otherwise would be placed in foster care, residential treatment, detention centers, hospitals, or other juvenile facilities. Diverting youth from these out-of-home placements these programs, provide systemic family therapy in order to preserve family attachment and increase problem-solving skills for both youth and caregivers.
We help assist young adults who age out of the foster care system or other managed systems of care. A community-based and trauma-informed approach, LifeSet equips young people with the knowledge and skills they need to overcome their history of trauma or mental health challenges and successfully transition into adulthood. Each participant is paired with a clinically trained specialist who meets with them weekly and is available 24/7 for crisis intervention. Each participant sets their own goals but will learn how to: manage their physical and mental health; cope with previous abuse/neglect; obtain stable housing; acquire and maintain employment; pursue educational goals; remain free from legal involvement, and build healthy adult support systems”
