Who We Are
FP is a social, educational, and recreational mental health outreach center for adults with mental illness that is designed to encourage participation in social and educational opportunities both at the center and in the community.
We are a place to reach out and make a difference to people with mental illness and encourage them to be more active, contributing members of our community.
What We Do
Friendship Place (FP) exists to encourage adults with mental illness to live well by fostering an environment that provides members with peer support, advocacy, and education.
FP is set up to give our members informal counseling, and regular face-to-face contact with staff to assist in problem-solving activities.
Programs include support and therapy groups, arts/crafts, cooking/nutrition lessons, recreational activities, life skills classes, etc. We also offer community outings to reconnect individuals with mental illness with their community.
