Science Olympiad

Founded in 1984, Science Olympiad is celebrating its 40th Anniversary of providing high-quality STEM activities to students interested in pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering and math fields. Through school-based teams, Science Olympiad provides a variety of ways to engage with teams as volunteers, mentors, tournament officials and subject matter experts.

Science Olympiad is one of the largest team STEM competitions in the US, serving 200,000 students in Grades 6-12 with engaging hands-on STEM activities at 400 tournaments annually in all 50 states. Science Olympiad also has 55 college Alumni Chapters on campuses across the Big 10, SEC, ACC and Pac 10, with students devoted to providing service and STEM opportunity in underserved communities.
