Who We Are
As a nationally accredited Child Advocacy Center, Abbott House serves child victims of abuse and neglect ages 3 to 18 years old. Abbott House is charged with serving District 21 which includes Cleveland, McClain and Garvin Counties in Oklahoma as well as surrounding areas. Our mission is preventing abuse, advocating for children and fostering hope and healing.
What We Do
Abbott House is a child-focused, facility-based program offering comprehensive services to child victims of abuse and neglect. Before Abbott House was established, child victims were subjected to a stressful journey through the criminal and civil justice systems, often times having to share their traumatic experiences to several different adult strangers. As a nationally accredited Child Advocacy Center, Abbott House provides a trauma-informed environment where multidisciplinary team members work together to reduce the re-victimization of the child, remove barriers to investigation and treatment, and set child victims and their non-offending caregivers on the path to healing. Abbott House has four areas of programming - forensic interviews, medical assessments, advocacy, and educational outreach - and is the only organization providing these services in our district. We serve children 3-17 years of age who have an open investigation with law enforcement or DHS.
