Who We Are

Girl Scouts of the Northwestern Great Lakes (GSNWGL) formed in 2008, the result of a nationwide organizational realignment. Formerly six separate Councils now comprise GSNWGL, which partners with 3,000 volunteers, serves approximately 10,000 girls, and covers 58 counties across northern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Mission: Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. Vision: We are the champions of Girl Scout ambition. We raise our collective voices to emphasize the Girl Scout difference. We provide a safe and inclusive environment where Girl Scouts can discover accessible experiences designed to nurture leadership, innovation, and compassion.

What We Do

Girl Scouts create the world they want to live in and strive to make it better every single day. They explore their strengths, take on new challenges, and can always be themselves, regardless of background or ability. Supported by adult volunteers and mentors right here in our community, as well as millions of alums around the globe, Girl Scouts lead the way as they discover who they are and how they can make the future a brighter place.
