Feeding Our Communities Partners

Who We Are

Feeding Our Communities Partners (FOCP) was developed in 2010 to fill a critical service gap in the greater Mankato area, providing youth hunger relief during out-of-school hours. The organization has a mission to engage our community in solving youth hunger. We envision a community where hunger is not a barrier to student success.

What We Do

Feeding Our Communities Partners is dedicated to nourishing the lives of local children facing hunger, offering sustenance on weekends and school breaks so they are ready to learn on Mondays back at school. This work is done through the BackPack Food Program (serving elementary students), Power Pack Program (serving middle school students), Summer Pack Program (serving K-12 students), SummerTime Outreach Meal Program (serving students Monday-Friday in area food deserts), and on-site food pantries for High School students. Collectively, FOCP programs serve over 1,100 students each week at over 30 school buildings within 8 school districts and 16 communities in South Central Minnesota. Through our work, FOCP is helping to ensure that no child goes to bed hungry, and no dream is left unfulfilled.
