Job Overview: Read Elementary School is thrilled to announce the grand opening of our new playground! This event is a celebration of the community’s efforts and dedication to enhancing our children's recreational facilities. We are looking for friendly, energetic volunteers to help ensure the event runs smoothly and is a memorable day for everyone involved. Volunteers will assist with vendor coordination, guide and supervise children during activities, and help maintain a clean and safe environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist vendors with setup and breakdown of their stalls or activity areas.
- Direct participants and provide information about event schedules and facility locations.
- Supervise and engage with children at various activity stations to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment.
- Help maintain cleanliness around the event area, managing waste and recycling efficiently.
- Provide first aid or direct to medical assistance if needed and report any safety concerns to the Event Coordinator immediately.
- Work collaboratively with other volunteers and staff to handle any unexpected situations or emergencies.
We'll have FREE face painting, DJ, Kona ice, playground play, chat with Marshall from Paw Patrol, fire truck and visit from fire fighters.
