Our Winter 2018 Guardian ad Litem Training kicks off on Wednesday, January 17th at 5:15pm. Training is 27 hours of in-person training and runs every Monday/Wednesday through mid-February. To register for training, please fill out a volunteer application at www.volunteerforgal.org. When we receive you application, we will schedule a volunteer interview to give you an overrview of the program and answer any questions you may have.
Guardian ad Litem is seeking volunteers to become court-appointed advocates for abused and neglected children in the court system. Responsibilities include collaborating with other participants in the case, visiting the child, empowering the child's voice, and writing detailed court reports. There is no experience necessary, and we provide all training and support. Time commitment varies, but is approximately 8-10 hours per month.
