Support adult students, immigrants, and refugees to help them reach their goals.
Volunteers tutors help students learn:
- Reading and writing
- Speaking English
- Basic computer skills
- GED/HSED preparation
Consider joining our volunteer community and making a difference in the lives of Dane County adults.
We Provide:
- Training for new tutors
- Support from staff during tutoring sessions
- Weekly lesson plans, individualized to your student
- Ongoing opportunities for training and growth
Our Volunteers:
- Are 18+ years old
- Are reliable, professional, patient, and kind
- Speak, read, and write English fluently
- Check email regularly
- Tutor one-on-one at a set time for two hours each week
- Can commit to a full semester
